Cheryl Johnson: A return to painting. Exploring all that texture and color can do.

For 2016 I want to return to the simple concept of appreciating the aesthetic of art. Through a unique color palette and strong composition, a statement can be made independent of confrontational subjects and conceptual materials.

I created this painting in Kauai two years ago and loved the process of creating texture and movement. It is time to explore this again.
